thank God for the rain. a good hard rain. sometimes it's needed. i can't believe i left the island of rain and wind to find myself wading in buckets of brown rain beds. but it's a mighty beauty, a cleansing force. i know it is much needed for the soil for the soul. it makes me think about things said and unsaid, written down and then erased... how we never really say what me mean or mean what we say. bridges of communication broke-down by time and space, imaginary or real, dead-space.
the collected rain is dripping. it's steady.
the mesquites move, to a new song.
time. it marches on.
~~~~~~
'i watched you have your way
with innocent abandon.
you can come down hard, come down mean
bring your flood right to my door
you can wash this whole place clean
you're still nothing but a storm.
so come on, bring it on
rage on
i can take it.
come on, straight through the dawn
here's my heart
you can't break it
with your 18 days of rain.'
one more night of thunder
wont' make me crawl away
cos i ain't goin under
from your 18 days of rain.
come on, bring it on
rage on
i can take it.
come on, straight through the dawn
here's my heart
but you can't break it (again)
with your 18 days of rain.'
